Hello there! If you've made it this far to checking out my "About Me" page, then you probably are wondering who I am and can I actually help. Like many "wounded healers", I myself have struggled with various mental health challenges throughout my life and have lacked understanding as to how my past impacted my present and future. Therapy brought a renewed sense of strength and clarity that I never thought possible. Recovery is possible.

Area of focus
I have a special interest in working with adults, couples, & adolescents who have been impacted by substance use and dual diagnosis. For the last 5 years, I have worked as a substance use counselor & a mental health therapist providing individual and group therapy to adults suffering from substance use disorders & other mental health challenges. Additionally, I have worked with couples & family members whose loved one has struggled with a substance use disorder.

What to Expect
To me, therapy is a collaborative process that requires you and I to work together to find the right solutions. Ultimately, our work together will strive to foster a sense of harmony within yourself, your relationships, and your life. To accomplish this, I will use a variety of tailored approaches from an emotion-focused, person-centered, & cognitive-behavioral framework that will help us achieve your identified goals. In our initial phone call, I'll ask a few questions that will help me begin to understand what type of support you may be looking for. From there I will make some recommendations on how therapy may look together & gain feedback from you. I strive to provide an experience where trust develops & hope blossoms while holding your sacred information confidential.
